What I Wore Wednesday #4

What I Wore Wednesday is a way of keeping us accountable for what we wear each week so that we aren’t sucked into the all too easy trap of yoga pants all day every day. Us stay-at-home mamas are particularly susceptible to this trap. They are just. So. Comfy! I’ve got a sister and a sister-in-law who are both SAHMs as well as a college student sister and a recently graduated from her Masters program sister, all of whom I am challenging to join me in this pursuit of fashion accountability. They’ve all got great senses of style, so I can’t wait to see what they post- especially since my sister-in-law is the only one that I see regularly. My other sisters all live far far away in The Land of the Frozen North.

I actually got dressed and did my hair and makeup every single day this past week. Seriously. Even Monday. This is more impressive than it sounds. So if you know me and my hatred of Monday’s you’ll understand this is big for me. I skipped one day the week before and I was in a rotten mood and felt terrible the whole day so I decided that even if I only spend 15 minutes to straighten my hair quickly and do a quick makeup job, it is worth it. Despite the effort, I somehow managed only two pics this past week. Oh! And I got a cut and color last week which I love.

On this particular day I ran my daughter to her piano lesson, went to the hair salon, had my sister-in-law and niece over for lunch (and snapped a few photos of my darling niece), had another friend over for a visit, and homeschooled. So I needed something that would hold up to a long day and I didn’t want to worry about stains from cooking or being uncomfortable while I crawled around getting the right camera angle.

I ran errands. All. Day. Long. In this outfit and was so comfy. Then out to dinner with the hubs and kiddo that night, and I didn’t even bother changing. This outfit is seriously all over Pinterest and is one of my favs.
