Bathroom Tour and Resources

After a long day we both enjoy a hot shower before bed, so we wanted our master bathroom to feel luxurious.
I don’t always take a bath, but when I do, I prefer to be covered in steamy hot water up to my chin (did you read that in the voice of The Most Interesting Man in the World like I did?! 😆) so a large bathtub was a must have.

Modern free standing bath tub
I love the clean modern look of a free standing tub, and this one fit the bill. To keep the bathroom from feeling too modern, I chose classic, vintage looking faucets and a tub filler. This gives the bathroom a less trendy feel, so I don’t have to worry about it “going out of style” any time soon.

That line of thought is basically how I picked all of the materials and finishes in the master bathroom. The goal was for the bathroom to feel fresh, bright, clean, modern, luxurious, and chic.

By mixing the clean, modern look of large white subway tile, concrete floors, and the freestanding tub with the classic, chic, high end look of the marble counters, marble subway tile, and marble penny rounds, we achieved the modern yet classic element we were after.

The chrome orb crystal chandelier and beaded beveled mirrors really marry all of the elements together and add to the chic/glamour factor.
