Idaho Entryway Makeover

Our Idaho house’s entryway makeover happened in stages, but we couldn’t have been happier with the changes! We really only changed three things, but what a difference they made!

Before:

After:

The wall color- Sherwin William’s Repose Gray stayed the same, but the formerly stained paneling did receive a few coats of my trusty ol’ Extra White by Sherwin Williams to match the existing trim. The new knotty alder Simpson door (this is the exact one) got a couple coats of polyurethane, and we reinstalled the Schlage lock. I’m really not positive what the wood floor type/stain is, but if I had to guess, I’d say they were alder as well and stained something similar to Provincial.

The brass hooks can be found here.

I can’t find my exact wall basket anywhere but this one is similar, as are these , and this one. The basket is holding these olive stems.

The entryway bench is no longer sold but this one is very similar, and the lumbar pillow was purchased here. The round modern mirror is super heavy duty, just FYI and can be found here. This rug does a wonderful job of hiding dirt and things that get tracked in, and is low pile enough that the door opens easily over it.
